Refund Genie helps Amazon sellers identify and recover money owed for lost or damaged inventory. It automatically analyzes your Amazon FBA data and highlights potential reimbursements that may have been missed by Amazon. This article explains how to access, review, and use the Refund Genie dashboard to request eligible refunds.
Step-by-Step Guidance
Step 1: Open Refund Genie
1. Log in to your Helium 10 account.
2. From the Tools menu, select Business Operations → Managed Refund Services → Refund Genie.
Note: If you’re enrolled in Managed Refund Services (MRS), Refund Genie reports will pause automatically while MRS handles reimbursements for you.
Step 2: Wait for Your Data to Load
• The dashboard will appear empty the first time you open it.
• Data collection begins after your Amazon Seller Token is connected.
• Refund Genie takes up to 24 hours to gather and display data.
• You must have had prior product returns for information to appear.
Step 3: Review Your Refund Data
Once your data is available, the Refund Genie dashboard displays a table summarizing all lost or returned products that may qualify for a refund. Each row represents one affected item.
| Column | Description |
| Report Date | The date when refund data was collected (updated monthly). |
| Report Type | Indicates if the item was Lost or Damaged. |
| Seller | Your connected Amazon seller account. |
| Refundable Items | Number of items eligible for potential reimbursement. |
| Potential Refund | Estimated total refund amount based on Amazon reimbursement data. |

• This report is view-only and cannot be downloaded.
Tip: You can copy your FNSKU directly from this report to use when filing claims in Amazon Seller Central.

If you are not using Managed Refund Services (MRS), you can manually request reimbursement from Amazon:
- Log in to Amazon Seller Central.
- Go to Help → Get Support → Selling on Amazon → Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).
- Select Reimbursement for Lost or Damaged Inventory.
- Copy the FNSKU(s) from Refund Genie and include them in your claim.

Important Notes
• If you are currently using Managed Refund Services (MRS), Refund Genie will pause monthly refund report generation while MRS processes reimbursements automatically.
• Once MRS is deactivated, Refund Genie will resume collecting and updating refund data.
• Refund Genie report data updates every month, on the same day as the tool activation date.
