Getting Started with Helium Agent

Step 1: Verify Your Subscription

Helium Agent is available to Diamond plan subscribers and above. If you're on a lower plan and want to access Helium Agent, consider upgrading your subscription.

Step 2: Authorize Account Permissions

When you first access Helium Agent, you'll be asked to authorize access to your account data. This is required to give Helium Agent the ability to read your information.

Step 1: Open Helium 10 and look for the Helium chat button

You'll see a new Helium orb at the bottom right of the Helium 10 Dashboard.

Step 2: Click to open Helium Agent

The chat will open as a sidebar alongside your current page, or you can open it in full-screen mode as well as a floating mode.

Step 3: Authorize access when prompted

You'll see a message asking you to authorize Helium Agent to access your account data. Click "Authorize" to proceed.

Step 4: You're ready to go!

Once authorized, you can start asking questions and Helium Agent will respond with analysis from your own data.

If You're a Sub-User

As a sub-user, your access to Helium Agent depends on the main account owner's subscription plan, not your individual user type.

• Main account is Diamond or above: You'll have full access to Helium Agent
• Main account is below Diamond: You won't have access to the premium agents

If the main account owner is on Diamond or above but you don't see Helium Agent, they may need to enable MCP and Supervision Agent permissions for your account:

1. Main account owner goes to Access Management → User Accounts → Manage Permissions
2. Find your user and enable both MCP and Supervision Agent
3. Log in with your own account and try accessing Helium Agent again

Sidebar Mode

Work with Helium Agent right alongside your Helium 10 dashboard. Click the Helium orb on any page and the chat opens as a persistent sidebar. Perfect for quick questions without leaving your current page.

Full-Screen Mode

For deeper analysis, switch to full-screen mode for a dedicated conversational workspace. Get started quickly with golden prompts, guided scenario cards, and a searchable prompt library.

Parallel Conversations

Start multiple conversations at once. Status indicators show which are in-progress, unread, or complete. No need to wait for one analysis to finish before starting another.

Export important tables as CSV files. Generate downloadable reports in PDF or Markdown format. Keep your analysis organized and shareable.

Usage Monitoring

Diamond+ subscribers will be notified when the agent usage limit has reached. Check your current usage and quota on the Usage page. 




 

Guided Workflows

Three end-to-end workflows combine conversation with guided task execution:

1. Research Skill

How it works:

1. Provide competitor ASINs or a seed keyword
2. Helium Agent auto-discovers competitors and builds a keyword bank
3. Review and confirm negative keywords to filter irrelevant terms
4. Get a final keyword pack organized by campaign type + 4 downloadable CSVs

Example question: "Create a keyword pack for my new product. Here are 5 competitor ASINs: B0CHRP96MS, B08TPJPP1F, B07Q4FHWV9, B0H8S46BNZ, B0823H3Z95"

2. Listing Builder Skill

Two paths depending on your situation:

Path A: New Product (No ASIN Yet)

1. Upload product images (up to 5, 10MB each)
2. Helium Agent analyzes images and extracts product attributes
3. Select keyword sources and provide competitor ASINs
4. Agent generates complete listing (title, bullets, description)
5. Edit and iterate on the copy as needed
6. Publish directly to Amazon or export for later

Example question: "Create a complete Amazon listing for my new stainless steel dog bowl. I'll upload 5 product images and provide competitor ASINs."

Path B: Existing Listing (Optimize One Field)

1. Specify which field to optimize (title, bullet, or description)
2. Helium Agent pulls your current live listing
3. Reviews your existing product images
4. Agent rewrites only the field you specified
5. Publish the updated field back to Amazon (requires seller SKU)

3. Ads Audit Skill

What you need to provide:

• Target ACoS (e.g., 25%)
• Your goal stage (Launch, Growth, Mature, or Harvest)
• The profile/marketplace you want to analyze

What you get back: A comprehensive audit report covering:

• Product ad readiness—can your listing page convert the traffic?
• Which products are losing money (by ACoS)
• Which targets need pausing or bid reductions
• Which strong targets are budget-constrained
• Which search terms are ready to become exact matches

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Helium Agent cost?

Helium Agent is included with Diamond plan subscriptions and above. If you're on a lower plan, you can upgrade to Diamond to access all five specialist agents. Free and lower-tier plans have access to the Knowledge Agent only.

I have a Free / Platinum subscription; why does my chatbot say AI Assistant and not Helium?

Helium Agent is included with Diamond plan subscriptions and above. If you're on a free or lower plan, you can upgrade to Diamond to access all five specialist agents. 

What happens when I run out of usage?

Your usage automatically replenishes on your billing date. At this time, we do not offer add-ons for additional usage. If you do run out of usage before your replenishment date, please contact support.

Can Helium Agent change my campaigns, bids, or budgets?

No. Helium Agent is read-only by design. It analyzes your data and recommends actions, but it never changes your settings, pauses campaigns, adjusts bids, or modifies budgets. You stay in complete control—Helium Agent gives you the insights, and you make the decisions.

Why do the numbers not match what I see in Seller Central?

Helium Agent uses a 14-day attribution window by default. Seller Central often uses different attribution windows or updates on a different schedule. If the numbers match the Helium 10 dashboard but differ from Seller Central, the difference is usually due to the attribution window or reporting latency. If Helium Agent and the H10 dashboard disagree on the same metric and window, contact support.

Does Helium Agent work with Walmart?

The Ads Agent supports Amazon (full capability) and Walmart (nearly full—no product-ad or product-target reporting yet). The Commerce Agent currently supports Amazon only. Walmart support for Commerce Agent and other marketplaces are coming in future releases.

Does Helium Agent work with other marketplaces like eBay or Etsy?

Currently, Helium Agent supports Amazon and Walmart only. Support for additional marketplaces is being evaluated for future releases.

The agent keeps asking me to clarify. Why doesn't it just guess?

Intentionally. Missing date ranges, ambiguous terms, or unsupported metrics lead to wrong answers. Helium Agent asks for clarification instead of guessing. Try restating your question with specific dates, ranges, or terms, and it will run.

Why does a new chat not remember my earlier conversation?

Memory is per-conversation. Within a single chat, follow-up questions work—Helium Agent remembers context and refines answers. When you start a new chat, that's a fresh session with no memory of previous chats. This keeps conversations scoped and independent. Your chat history is always preserved in the History tab.

Is Helium Agent slow? Why does it take so long to respond?

Complex analyses (root-cause analysis, P&L queries) involve multiple data pulls and computation, so expect 10-30 seconds for comprehensive answers. Follow-up questions are faster because they build on cached results. If a query hangs beyond 1 minute, try refreshing the page or contact support.

Can I export my results?

Yes. The Research Agent can generate downloadable reports with multiple CSVs. The Ads Audit generates a downloadable PDF report plus individual tables on demand. The Listing Builder produces a final listing you can publish to Amazon or export. Other agents return tables and text inline that you can copy or screenshot.

Pro Tips

• Be specific: Include date ranges, metrics, and entities (campaigns, keywords, products) in your questions
• Follow up in the same chat: Helium Agent remembers context within a conversation. New chats don't have memory of previous ones
• Ask "why" questions: "Why did my ROAS drop?" gets more insight than "What was my ROAS?"
• Use parallel conversations: Don't wait for one analysis to finish—start another conversation while the first is running
• Check your usage: Monitor your Helium Agent call usage on the Usage page to avoid running out mid-month
• Download your work: Save important reports and keyword packs for future reference
