Alerts provides visibility into the Buy Box status of your products, allowing you to track which listings are winning or losing the Buy Box over time. Since the Buy Box plays a key role in driving conversions on Amazon, monitoring these changes helps you quickly identify shifts in competition and take action when your position changes.
On Amazon product detail pages, the Buy Box appears as the “Buy Now” section, typically located on the right-hand side, where customers can quickly purchase an item. This placement is highly competitive, as multiple sellers may offer the same product, and Amazon determines which seller earns the Buy Box based on factors such as pricing, performance, and sales history. In some cases, the Buy Box may rotate between sellers.
By enabling monitoring for your products, you can view Buy Box status across your catalog and stay informed on how your offers are performing relative to other sellers. Leveraging Helium 10 tools can help improve visibility and sales performance, which may increase your chances of winning the Buy Box—especially for private label products where you are the sole seller.
Buy Box information is only available for ASINs that have been added to Alerts and are actively being monitored. To ensure you receive these notifications, enable monitoring for these products in Alerts.
Here are some examples to know whether you have monitoring enabled/disabled:
- Alerts monitoring is enabled
- Alerts monitoring is not enabled
To see which of your monitored products have won or lost the Buy Box, you can:
- Use the “Buy Box Status” filter, which can be found in the filters section of the tool.
- Use the face icons under the overview section. -- The number beside the face indicates how many of your monitored products have won/lost the Buy Box
- Green (Smiling) - Display monitored SKUs that have won the Buy Box
- Red (Frowning) - Display monitored SKUs that have lost the Buy Box
- Gray (Straight Face) - Display monitored SKUs where no seller currently holds the Buy Box
Also, you can simply scroll through your Product catalog, and a face icon indicates the SKU’s Buy Box status.
By monitoring your products in Alerts, you can stay informed on Buy Box activity across your catalog and quickly identify changes in your competitive position. This visibility helps you take timely action and maintain control over your listings.
