Use Competitor ASINs for Automatic Keyword Research in Listing Builder

Listing Builder now allows sellers to input competitor ASINs directly into the tool to retrieve relevant keywords from multiple sources—without switching between Cerebro or other keyword tools. This unified workflow streamlines keyword research, listing creation, and optimization.

With the new keyword research enhancement in Listing Builder, sellers can:

  • Automatically retrieve high-performing keywords based on up to nine competitor ASINs

  • Apply dynamic filters and real-time updates to refine keyword suggestions

  • Consolidate keyword data from multiple trusted Helium 10 sources, including:

    • Cerebro

    • Black Box Keywords

    • Amazon Brand Analytics (ABA)

    • Search Query Performance (SQP)

Which Plans Have Access?

This feature is available on all plans.

  • Diamond and above: 100 uses/month

  • Platinum: 20 uses/month

  • Starter, Free, Al la carte: 2 uses/month

Getting Started

1. Start a New Listing or Optimize an Existing One

You can begin your keyword research in two ways:

  • Create from Scratch: Manually input an ASIN (optional).

  • Optimize Your Listing: The existing ASIN will auto-populate as the seed ASIN.

If you choose SQP as a keyword source, a seed ASIN and the associated shop are required.

2. Add Competitor ASINs

  • You can add up to nine competitor ASINs to enrich keyword data.

3. Select Keyword Sources and Preset Filters

Choose from a variety of keyword sources and filters:

  • Find My ABA Converting Keywords

  • Find Competitor ABA Converting Keywords

  • Find SQP Sales Keywords (requires your ASIN)

  • Find Top Keywords (from Cerebro)

  • Find Opportunity Keywords (from Cerebro)

  • Find Historical Top Keywords (dropdown menu)

  • Top-Performing Organic/Sponsored Keywords (based on competitor rank)

Viewing and Filtering Keywords

Once the ASINs and filters are applied, keyword results will display in a sortable table.

Keyword Table Columns:

  • Keyword

  • Keyword Source

  • Search Volume

  • Keyword Sales

  • CPS (Competing Products Score)

You can filter keyword results by:

  • Source

  • Search Volume

  • Sales

  • Keyword performance type (e.g., Opportunity, Historical, ABA Converting)

Managing Your Keyword List

  • Select keywords to Favorite or Delete.

  • Favorited keywords are moved to the top of your Keyword Bank.

Applying Keywords to Your Listing

After selecting keywords, click Next to open the keyword placement screen.

  • Use dedicated buttons to insert keywords into:

    • Product Title

    • Bullet Points (choose a specific bullet point)

    • Description

Tip: Hovering over a keyword in the bank reveals the original filter or source (e.g., Opportunity Keywords, Historical Top Keywords).

Users can continue refining keywords within the keyword bank by source:

  • Competitor ABA Converting Keywords

  • Top Keywords

  • Opportunity Keywords

  • Historical Top Keywords

  • Top-Performing Organic Keywords
