How Do I Add, Manage and Delete Users in My Helium 10 Account?

As businesses that sell on Amazon grow, they hire employees or outsource specific responsibilities to contractors or agencies. This change means that either multiple people need to access a single account or contractors need to access multiple accounts. This article explains how to add users or accounts, switch between those accounts, and manage permissions.

Before you set up sub-users on your own Helium 10 account, or begin accessing multiple accounts, make sure that you are logging into Helium 10 through your own personal Helium 10 account. The email and password that you use for your personal account should be the same email you use to access another user's account as a sub-user. Going forward, you will always log into Helium 10 under your own account, and from the account menu, you will toggle between accounts, if you have access to more than one account.

Adding Sub-Users to Your Account

Managing your Amazon business may require giving partners or employees access to all or part of your Helium 10 account and its tools. Each tier has limitations on the number of users included within the subscription.

  • Starter users are allotted one user
  • Platinum users are allotted one user
  • Diamond users are allotted five users
  • Diamond, Helium 10 Ads, and Diamond bundle users are allotted five users
  • Enterprise users are allotted 25 users

NOTE: Authorizing access to your Helium 10 account tools does not authorize access to your Amazon Seller Central account.

Helium 10 allows you to control which tools any authorized sub-user can view and use. Because some of the tools have limited uses and others have sensitive data, you may not want to give all your sub-account users access to all of the tools. For example, you may have an employee who writes all of your advertising copy and product descriptions so you want them to be able to access the keyword research tools like Cerebro or Keyword Processor, or you have an employee who investigates new product ideas, so you want them to use Helium 10's product research tools like Black Box, but you don't want either of these individuals to be able to access your Profits data.

This tutorial covers how to add and manage these sub-account users.

1. Sign in to your Helium 10 account.

2. On the Helium 10 dashboard, click on your member account icon in the top right corner to open the drop-down menu. This menu contains all of your account management options. Select "Access Management" to access the User Accounts page.

3. The User Accounts page is where you manage all your sub-account users. Here, you can add or delete users and set restrictions and authorizations for which tools you want these individuals to access.

To add a user, click on the + ADD NEW USER button at the bottom.

4. A window pops up requesting the new user's email address. Type in the information and click Confirm. If the sub-user already has a Helium 10 account, make sure that you use the same email address they use for that account. If they do not have a Helium 10 account, a prompt requesting their name will appear, and an email will be sent to them to activate their account.

5. Meanwhile, the new user will receive an email from Helium 10 with a link to activate their account.

Note: if they already have a Helium 10 account, they will now see your account in their switch account menu.

Manage Permissions

Once you've added subusers, you can manage which tools you want them to be able to access.

Click the pencil icon next to the new user's details on the User Accounts screen.

The screen will expand to show all the available tools. Click the boxes next to the tools you want the user to be able to access. Click Confirm to grant access.

Note: If you ever want to modify which tools they have access to, return to this Manage Permissions page and check/uncheck the applicable tools you wish to update.

Now, when the sub-user accesses your account with their account, they will only see the tools you have authorized access to.

Delete a Sub-User

Select the trash can icon from the User Accounts page to delete a sub-user from accessing your account.

Switching Between Accounts

Once a Helium 10 user has been granted sub-account access to another user's account, they will see the option to toggle between accounts.

Before working on your tasks in Helium 10, always verify you're on the correct account. Open your account menu and select Switch Accounts. The accounts that you have access to will appear. You can always confirm which account you are working in by checking the information displayed in the top right corner.

Switching Between Accounts on Chrome Extension

To switch accounts in the Helium 10 Chrome Extension (CE), click the extension icon in your Google Chrome browser, open the Helium 10 CE menu, then click the account name located in the bottom right corner. From there, select the account you want to use.
