How Do I Add, Manage and Delete Users in My Helium 10 Account?

As businesses that sell on Amazon get larger, they take on employees, or farm out specific responsibilities to contractors or agencies. This change means that either multiple people need to access a single account, or contractors need to access multiple accounts. This article explains how to add users, or accounts, switch between those accounts, and manage permissions.

Before you set up sub-users on your own Helium 10 account, or begin accessing multiple accounts, make sure that you are logging into Helium 10 through your own personal Helium 10 account. The email and password that you use for your personal account should be the same email you use to access another user's account as a sub-user. Going forward, you will always log into Helium 10 under your own account, and from the account menu, you will toggle between accounts, if you have access to more than one account.

I. Adding Sub-Users to Your Account

Managing your Amazon business may require giving partners or employees access to all or part of your Helium 10 account and its tools. Each tier has limitations on how many users are included within the subscription.

  • Platinum users are allotted one user
  • Diamond users are allotted five users
  • Diamond, Adtomic and Diamond bundle users are allotted five users
  • Supercharge Your Brand users are allotted 25 users

NOTE: Authorizing access to your Helium 10 account tools does not authorize access to your Amazon Seller Central account.

Helium 10 lets you control which tools any authorized sub-user can see and use. Because some of the tools have limited uses and others have sensitive data, you may not want to give all your sub-account users access to all of the tools. For example, you may have an employee who writes all of your advertising copy and product descriptions so you want them to be able to access the keyword research tools like Cerebro or Frankenstein, or you have an employee who investigates new product ideas, so you want them to use Helium 10's product research tools like Black Box and Trendster, but you don't want either of these individuals to be able to access your Profits data.

This tutorial covers how to add and manage these sub-account users.

1. Sign into your Helium 10 member account. Go to helium10.com and click on the Log In button.

2. Enter your email, password and click on the Log In button.

If you have set up a secure log in process that requires a SMS verification, you will get a prompt to enter the code. For security measures, we always encourage our users to activate this safety step, especially as you add sub-users to your account.

3. On the Helium 10 dashboard, click on your member account icon located in the top, right corner to open the drop-down menu. All of your account management activity can be accessed through this menu. The menu will open with a link to a page where you can add or delete users. Go to the Access Management link.

4. You manage all your sub-account users on the User Accounts page. Here, you can add or delete users, and set restrictions and authorizations for which tools you want these individuals to access.

To add a user, click on the + ADD NEW USER button in the upper right corner.

5. A window pops up with open fields for the new user's name and email address. Type in the information and click on the green Create User button. If the sub-user already has a Helium 10 account, make sure that you use the same email address they use for that account. If they do not have a Helium 10 account, they will be prompted to create one before they can access your account as a sub-user.

6. After you click Create User, a confirmation window opens to alert you that an email was sent to the user. Click the blue OK button to close the alert.

7. Meanwhile, the user will receive an email from Helium 10 with a link to activate their sub-user access to your account. Again, if they already have a Helium 10 account (recommended), they will now see your account in their account settings menu, or they will be prompted to create a Helium 10 account.

8. Once the new user has activated their agreement to be a sub-user on your account, you can manage which tools you want them to be able to access.

Click on the blue Manage Permissions button next to the new user's details on the User Accounts screen. The screen will expand to show all the available tools under the user's sub-account information. Click the boxes next to the tools you want the user to be able to see when they access your Helium 10 account. A green checked box signifies active access.

9. Now, when the sub-user accesses your account with their personal Helium 10 account, they will only see the tools for which you have authorized access. Only the left menu icon links work for sub-account users.

10. If, at any time, you want to modify the tools that a specific sub-account user can access, open the User Accounts page and click Manage Permissions again. If you want to remove access to all tools, but retain the sub-account, simply uncheck or deactivate all the tool boxes under Manage Permissions. If you want to completely delete the sub-account, click on the red Delete button located on the right side of the sub-account user's details.

11. Helium 10 will alert you that a sub-account user is being deleted. If you clicked on the Delete button accidently, just Cancel the action. If you are, in fact, deleting the account, click on the green Yes, delete it button in the lower, right corner.

II. Switching Between Multiple Accounts

12. Once a Helium 10 user has been granted sub-account user status on another user's account, they will see the option to toggle between accounts.

13. Before you begin working on your tasks in Helium 10, always make sure you select the account in which you wish to work. Selecting the account will open that account's dashboard.

14. You can always confirm which account you are working in by checking the information displayed in the top right corner.
