Combining market research, competitive analysis, and AI-driven predictions, it provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating product ideas and taking strategic actions to maximize profitability. This guide will walk you through how it works, its key features, and how to leverage it for success.

The Product Launchpad integrates data-driven insights with intuitive judgment to assess product ideas. It allows users to:

  • Store product ideas alongside associated competitors and keywords.
  • Analyze market trends and competition through detailed tables and graphs.
  • Use AI predictions and summaries to forecast market potential and make strategic decisions.

Who Can Use It?

The Product Launchpad is available to all plans, but features and limits vary:

Where to Find It?

The Product Launchpad is in the Products menu under the “Product & Keyword Research” section. A video tutorial at the top of the page explains its features and workflow.

How Does It Work?

The tool organizes product evaluation into three main steps: Keywords, Competitors, and Idea Scorecard. Here’s a breakdown:

Keywords

Graph View:

  •
    • Amazon SV: Aggregated search volume for selected keywords.
    • Walmart SV: Aggregated search volume for Walmart (hidden for Platinum users).

Keyword Table:

  •
    • Displays data like keyword phrases, search volume, sales, competing products, and advertising bids.
    • Data is pulled from Helium 10 tools like Cerebro.
    • Hovering over a keyword shows the top 10 products ranking for it.

  • Add Keywords:
    • Manually add relevant keywords to expand your analysis.

Tips: Use the notes section to organize insights—autosaved as you type.

Competitors

Graph View:

  •
    • Analyze metrics like total monthly sales, revenue, average price, rating, and reviews.

Competitor Table:

  •
    • Key metrics like reviews, price, sales, and revenue.
    • Hover over competitors to view top performers.

  • Add Competitors:
    • Use the "Add Competitors" button to expand your analysis.

Note: Keep track of your plan's competitor limits.

Idea Scorecard

This section offers a holistic evaluation of your product idea based on six dimensions:

  1. Market Research & Trends:
    • Combines search trends from Amazon, Google, and Walmart.
  2. Market Size:
    • Assesses sales volume, revenue, and average price.
  3. Competition:
    • Evaluates competitor reviews, market gaps, and seller landscape.
  4. Logistics & Profitability:
    • Links to Alibaba for supplier options and includes a profitability calculator.
  5. Business Biases & Intuition:
    • Balances data-driven insights with human intuition.
  6. Future Market Predictions:

    • Uses AI to forecast trends and market reactions.

Why Did My Product Ideas Disappear?

Product Launchpad stores your ideas while your account has active access to the tool. If access is removed—even temporarily—ideas may be deleted and are not recoverable.

Common reasons access is removed

  • Past-due billing (card failure, expired card, payment hold)
  • Plan downgrade (including automatic downgrade after non-payment)
  • Plan changes that exclude Product Launchpad

Note: The data retention behavior in Product Launchpad differs from that of some other Helium 10 tools. Ideas are not guaranteed to persist through lapses or downgrades.

Can Helium 10 restore deleted ideas?

  • No. Once ideas are deleted due to loss of access, they cannot be restored.

How to prevent data loss

  • Keep billing current. Update payment details before your renewal date.
  • Confirm plan coverage. Ensure your current plan includes Product Launchpad before changing plans.
  • Avoid gaps in access. If you must change plans, complete the upgrade/downgrade on the same day to prevent any lapse.
  • Export/backup regularly. Periodically export or copy your ideas to an external document for safekeeping.

If your ideas are missing and you don't think they should be:

  • Verify plan and access in your Account/Billing settings.
  • Contact Support if you believe access never lapsed, but data is missing.

Summary

The Product Launchpad is a powerful tool for navigating the complexities of product launches. By leveraging its comprehensive features and AI-driven insights, you can stay ahead of competitors and make confident, data-driven decisions. Get started today and transform your product ideas into successful launches!
