Sometimes, you want to compare your own product listing to its competitors’. The Listing Analyzer allows you to enter up to 10 ASINs in your research, giving you the opportunity to see how your listings fare against other products on Amazon.

This article reports on the types and benefits of doing a multi-product search using Listing Analyzer to study a product niche.

1. Open Listing Analyzer, using the tab located under Listing Optimization in the side menu of the Helium 10 dashboard.

2. Enter each ASIN or URL separately into the search field, followed by the space bar. You can search as many as 10 product listings in one analysis. When you have entered all the listings you want, click the Analyze button.

3. At the top of the results screen, you see a list of the products that you submitted for analysis. You can delete a listing by clicking on the blue X, or you can foreground a listing’s data by selecting it.

4. When none of the listings are selected as the seed listing, the data displayed includes all of the products in the analysis.

In addition to clicking on a listing at the top of the window, you can use the drop-down menu to change All products to just a specific listing. If a product is selected from above, or the drop-down menu, the Listing Quality Analysis shows only that listing’s data.

5. Listing Analyzer easily switches between individual listing data and collective data. To return the results to include all of the listings, use the drop-down menu to select All Products.

6. The Market Analysis section of the results page averages Amazon’s BSR, Pricing, and reviews data, along with Helium 10’s estimated Sales and Revenue calculations for the niche.

7. If you select a specific listing as a baseline or seed product from the analysis, it gets pulled out and shown in comparison to the group of listings you entered. Listing Analyzer also pulls the Get Competitors’ data from Cerebro for that seed product, and creates a Market that extends beyond the product listings you’ve entered. Depending on which product listing you foreground, the data will change to match that product’s Get Competitors’ data.

8. The Top Keywords Analysis is useful if you are focusing your listing analysis on a specific niche. The results here are similar to running a multi-ASIN search in Cerebro. The top level data reports on keywords that:

  • Are shared by at least 2 of the analyzed ASINs,
  • Rank organically in the top ten across all the analyzed ASINs, and
  • Have a monthly search volume of more than 500.

The data shows the total shared keywords, the top ten shared keywords, the total search volume on all shared keywords, and the total search volume for the keywords for which at least two ASINs rank in the top 10 organically. To see where ASINs rank in the top 10 for a listed keyword, hover over the average rank number. A popup window will show where each listing ranks for that keyword.

9. The final column reports on Cerebro’s performance score for each keyword, based on the competition of the keyword. You can add the keywords in the list to your My List by checking the phrases you want in the far left column, and clicking on the Add to My List button, and/or you can import this data into Cerebro for a deeper level of research by clicking the Continue in Cerebro button.

Listing Analyzer saves your analysis in its history, so you can always close out your work and return at any time to resume your research. To see your stored searches, click the History button either before you start a search, or from the top of the search results page.
